All Saints Day & Day of the Dead – part 2

All Saints Day & Day of the Dead Last year I wrote this post, which gave the history of All Saint’s Day & the Day of the Dead.  This year I am here until Nov. 19th so have the opportunity to experience this tradition first hand.  What a lovely tradition it is and I have to say I was very glad to be able to experience the whole thing 🙂 On Wednesday, I picked up my Aunt Zuva and we headed to the cemetery with a bucket, detergent, a scrub brush and a broom.  All the old flowers and flower pots were removed and the grave was given a quick sweep.  Zuva started cleaning with soap and...
